Application Timing

  • The application to the Master of Science in Anatomy will open on August 15.
  • For best consideration, it is recommended to have all materials submitted by early June 2022.

DMU utilizes rolling admissions, therefore it is recommended you apply and submit application materials early in the cycle.

All materials related to an application for admission become the property of Des Moines University upon receipt and will not be returned or released to the applicant either in original or photocopy form.

Applicants may only apply to one Des Moines University program at a time.

PostBacCAS Application Process

Applicants apply through PostBacCAS.

All supporting documents may be submitted through PostBacCAS. As transcripts and test scores may take several weeks to process by PostBacCAS, it is strongly recommended that you begin your application well in advance of the June deadline.

In addition to the PostBacCAS application, you must submit:

Official transcripts
Official transcripts showing all previous undergraduate and graduate work with grades and degrees. Transcripts must be from a regionally accredited college or university from within the United States. Transcripts must be submitted directly to PostBacCAS.

Evaluations/references
Contact information for a minimum of three references. Evaluations may come from a professor, academic advisor, employer, supervisor or mentor.

Official test scores (optional)
The MCAT, GRE and DAT are optional for the MSA program. Should applicants prefer to submit scores, please use the PostBacCAS GRE code of 4414 for Des Moines University. MCAT & DAT score reports can be uploaded through PostBacCAS.

Personal interview

Interview assessments are required for admission to the M.S.A. program. Currently the interview is a competency-based, holistic, asynchronous assessment. At this time there are no in-person interviews due to COVID-19 restrictions.
