DMU alumni elected Iowa ACOFP chapter leaders

The Iowa chapter of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) represents the rights and interests of osteopathic family physicians and works to promote excellence in their practice and education. Leading that effort are several DMU graduates, elected to officer positions at the chapter’s recent annual conference and scientific seminar.

Southwestern podiatric alumni in the news

Arizona practitioners Barbara J. Aung, D.P.M.’90, a board-certified wound care specialist in Tucson, AZ, and John J. Anderson, D.P.M.’99, FACFAS, with Alamogordo/Ruidoso Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, are making waves in their practices and in professional leadership.

Alumnus continues to open doors for others

Murray Goldstein, D.O.’50, M.P.H., was the first osteopathic physician appointed a commissioned medical officer in the uniformed services, the first D.O. to achieve star rank and the first to receive a presidential commendation, among other “firsts.” He’s still opening doors for others with his support of DMU.
