After residency\, Dr. McCann completed a fellowship in child abuse pediatrics at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University/Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence\, Rhode Island.  Dr. McCann has experience evaluating children of all ages for child physical abuse\, child sexual abuse\, child physical and medical neglect\, and medical child abuse (formerly Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy). Dr\, McCann has worked as part of multidisciplinary teams to evaluate child abuse and has testified as an expert witness in child physical abuse and child sexual abuse trials.The speakers have indicated no relevant financial relationships to disclose relevant to the content of this CME activity.Target audienceAll DMU faculty\, staff\, and students are invited to attend.Continuing education creditAOA:  Des Moines University is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to present continuing medical education programs for physicians.
