Experience the DMU campus and expand your medical knowledge – without taking the MCAT. Attend Mini Med School, a program that offers the public non-credit education on popular topics in health and medicine.
Talks are conducted by Des Moines University faculty and local experts in an accessible style appropriate for all audiences, aged middle school and up.
The five-session, Tuesday evening series explores interesting, relevant topics:
Feb. 9 – Dr. Katie Stevermer presenting on Neuroplasticity
Feb. 16 – Dr. LiLian Yuan and Aaron Shoskes, D.O.-18, presenting on Stress and the Gut Microbiome
Feb. 23 – Dr. Tom Green presenting on Sprains, Fractures & Wounds
March 1 – DMU Osteopathic Manual Medicine Fellows presenting on the Musculoskeletal System and Headaches
March 8 – Dr. Teresa Aoki presenting on Sleep Science
