Dr. Christopher Staub is the Owner and Head Therapist of Active Performance Physical Therapy. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, he graduated with a Masters of Physical Therapy (MPT) from Duquesne University, followed by a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at Waynesburg College and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Creighton University.
Throughout his career, Dr. Staub has held the positions of Center Manager for NovaCare Rehabilitation, Vice President of Operations with BOAR Physical Therapy and Vice President of Business Development and Director of Outpatient Services for Blue Stone Therapy Solutions. He also spent over 5 years working as an operating room consultant for Zimmer Medical Holdings and Synthes Spine, giving him extensive knowledge regarding post surgical patients that cannot be matched by any physical therapist in the region. His passion for the field and love for the day to day interactions with patients led him to return to practicing full-time. In 2010, he and his wife relocated to Carroll to be closer to family.
Continuing Education Credit
Des Moines University is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to present continuing medical education programs for health care professionals. Des Moines University designates this program for a maximum of 1.0 hour of AOA Category 2-A CME credits.
The Iowa Board of Examiners for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Audiology, and Recreational Therapy does not pre-approve continuing education; this course meets the State of Iowa criteria for continuing education in these professions.
