Burke and her husband, Patrick, welcomed a new baby, Zachary Tyler, on Sept. 8, 2012. He joins big sisters Kassidy, 4, and Mackenzie, 2. Burke is in her second year of an anesthesiology residency at Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA.

Peterson had his article, “Thromboembolic Prophylaxis in Total Joint Arthroplasty,” published in Thrombosis Journal. He is in his fourth year of an orthopedic surgery residency with St. John Providence Health System in Madison Heights, MI.

Patrick K. McClellan, D.O.’64

McClellan was elected to serve as president of the Macomb County Osteopathic Medical Association in 2013. He will be installed as president on February 23, 2013, in Clinton Township, MI. He is a retired family practice physician and resides in Richmond, MI, with his wife, Sandra.

Clifford M. Houseman, D.O.’07

Houseman is completing his chief year in neurosurgery at the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Medical Center Cushing Neuroscience Institute in Manhasset, NY. He plans to begin a spine instructorship/fellowship with Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, this year that will continue into 2014.

Weed was elected by the hospital staff at Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare in Carson City, NV, as physician of the year. She also graduated with honors from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with an M.B.A.
