I took an interest-based test and the top three suggested professions were nursing, teaching and physical therapy. I had considered a health care occupation or teaching, but I didn’t know anything about physical therapy. I began volunteering with a physical therapist and I found that I loved the profession. Physical therapy is a perfect combination of teaching and health care. I love that my job is active, relational, innovative and fun.Clinical Interest: I enjoy treating a wide range of diagnoses, but I have a special interest in fall prevention, balance and vestibular disorders.Conditions I Treat: I treat patients with orthopedic conditions like spine and joint pain, musculoskeletal injuries, headaches, generalized weakness, neurological conditions and vestibular disorders.How My Expertise Can Benefit Patients: Physical therapists are movement specialists. We identify dysfunctions with the movement system.
