Friday recipe: blackberry-peach smoothie

I love fruit smoothies, especially after a workout. I’m hoping to get peaches at the farmer’s market this weekend to make this smoothie. The green monster is still my go-to smoothie, but this one’s pretty good!

Blackberry-peach smoothie

4-5 ice cubes
2 medium peaches, peeled, pitted and quartered
1/4 cu) blackberries
1/2 cup fat-free skim milk

Directions

Place ice in a blender container; add peaches, blackberries and milk.

Blend on high until smooth and ice is completely crushed, about 3 to 4 minutes.

  1. I must say that I am totally taken by the color of the shake. It would be a good chilled shake to have during this summer. I hope to prepare this one an enjoy the same. Thanks for the recipe.

  2. This sound (and look) good. I’ll give it a try tomorrow morning, if I find some nice peaches. You can also get great smoothies with frozen fruit, instead of ice and vanilla yoghurt instead of milk. Now I’m getting hungry…
