After graduating from St. Olaf with a B.A. in biology and a concentration in american racial and multicultural studies, Christine entered the master of science in biomedical sciences program at Des Moines University and joined the lab of Dr. Jeff Gray. Currently, she is studying the mechanism by which statin drugs have been shown to decreased gram-positive bacterial sepsis morbidity and mortality. Christine feels that her work in the masters of science in biomedical sciences program will help her as she pursues a career in medicine. She is excited to continue her education at DMU as a member of the D.O. class of 2014 .
