Stephanie Greiner joined Des Moines University as the Chief
Development Officer in 2012.
Before DMU, she served in several roles at the Iowa State
Universisty Foundation. Beginning in 2003, her posts at the Foundation included
Assistant Director of Annual Giving, Associate Director of Development,
Director of Development and Senior Director of Development.
For DMU she serves as the chief fundraiser in collaboration with the
University President. She leads a large, dynamic team responsible for enhancing
alumni engagement by developing comprehensive plans of communication, special
events and programs to enlist all alumni as advocates and donors of the
She is a dynamic fundraiser with experience in
building teams, closing transformational gifts, gifts in kind, annual gifts, and blended cash and deferred
gifts. Stephanie is a motivational team leader who fosters a positive,
collaborative and productive work environment.
She led the process of researching, designing and implementing the largest capital campaign in DMU’s history: Purple & Proud – The Campaign for Des Moines University. And, with her team she has helped to substantially expand alumni participation to the highest levels in the University’s history.
Earlier in 2019, she was named a member of “40 Under 40” by the
Business Record. And, in 2016, she was named “40 Under 40 Rising Young
Stephanie holds a master’s degree from Iowa State University and
bachelor’s degree from The University of Iowa. She is a member of the
Association of Fundraising Professionals, Mid Iowa Planned Giving Council, and The
Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
