Dr. Lauren Mach is a physical therapist and certified athletic trainer in the Des Moines University Clinic Physical Therapy at the MidAmerican RecPlex in West Des Moines. Her clinical emphasis is on the treatment of orthopedic, sports injuries, concussions and the active older adult using a combination of manual therapy, functional dry needling, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, therapeutic exercise and self-management techniques. She is certified in functional dry needling, manual physical therapy, ASTYM treatment for soft tissue injury and scar reduction along with being a certified athletic trainer. Dr. Mach graduated from Clark College with her bachelor of science degree in athletic training in 2008 and her doctorate of physical therapy degree in 2010.
