Dr. John joined Foot and Ankle and the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery as assistant professor in 2023. She previously was a podiatric surgeon at OrthoIllinois in Rockford, Illinois. Her practice and research interests include both surgical and non-surgical flatfoot treatment, Lapiplasty bunion correction and surgical treatment of acute and chronic foot conditions.

A fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. John is certified by the ABPM and by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in foot and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery. 

She earned a bachelor’s degree in natural sciences at the College of Saint Benedict and her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine and Master of Health Care Administration from Des Moines University. She completed a podiatric medical residency at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines and a podiatric surgical residency at Yale/VA Connecticut Healthcare in New Haven.
