Keith Grey is responsible for overseeing all of DMU’s infrastructure technology needs. Keith also splits his time focused on the information security needs for the entire university community.
With 17 years of information technology experience, he has spent time hands-on with systems, virtualization, storage, networking and security. Keith has led diverse teams of managers, supervisors, engineers, technicians, developers, analysts, quality personnel, health information teams, trainers, and support personnel. He has spent his IT career leveraging his technical knowledge and leadership to help organizations grow and expand.
Prior to serving DMU, Keith served as the Director of Information Services and Security Officer for a healthcare organization in Eau Claire WI. In this position, he focused on aligning IT initiatives with business objectives and ensured IT initiatives met strict government and regulatory technical compliance. Keith was responsible for financial planning/budgeting, project sponsorship and management, working with business units to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions with a strong return on investment. He built and supported his teams with professional development through training and mentoring.
Keith has accomplished various leadership, technology, and security certifications over the years. He received his Bachelor of Science in Information Communication Technology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
When not at work, Keith enjoys spending time with his family. Outside of technology and security he has many other hobbies that include reading, movies, music, video games, working out, fishing and is a huge Green Bay Packers fan. His family includes his wife Dawn, two sons Brendan and Kieran, and their awesome pug, Ike.
