Jordan Bell, O.T.D., OTR/L, BCP

Areas of Expertise

Bell graduated from the College of Saint Mary with a bachelor’s degree in rehabilitative studies and a master’s in occupational therapy. She completed her post-professional doctorate in occupational therapy at the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2024. Bell’s clinical experience includes working as a pediatric occupational therapist at Child Serve, Kinetic Edge Physical Therapy and Heartland Area Education Agency. She has experience in program development in outpatient and inpatient settings, including starting occupational therapy services in a private practice. Bell has also led program development efforts to support trauma-informed care and evidence-based intervention strategies. She holds a Board Certification in Pediatrics from the American Occupational Therapy Association and has advanced clinical training in Ayres Sensory Integration, feeding, executive functioning skills, primitive reflex integration, school-based intervention and other pediatric interventions. She is passionate about helping future occupational therapists develop strong clinical reasoning skills and advocating for occupational therapy’s unique role in various pediatric settings.

Service and Community Involvement

Bell is a member of the Iowa Occupational Therapy Association, the American Occupational Therapy Association, and the Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity. Bell also serves as the Faculty Mentor for the ILEND program in partnership with the University of Iowa. Community service has included multidisciplinary committee membership to support social, emotional, behavioral and mental health among students.
