Jeneane joined Des Moines University in February 2019 as an instructor in the Department of Public Health. She is responsible for teaching and coordinating the MPH and MHA student culminating field experiences, assisting in creating new host locations for students, and facilitating partnerships with local, regional, and national population health stakeholders.
Ms. Moody graduated from the University of Arizona in Phoenix, AZ with an MPH in Community Health Practice. She also holds a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology from Arizona State University in West Glendale, AZ.
Prior to accepting this position, she served as the Executive Director of the Iowa Public Health Association for over 15 years, where she was responsible for managing all aspects of the day to day operations including planning, fundraising, public relations, and managing grants and contracts. Her prior roles include service as the Operations Coordinator for the Iowa Tobacco Prevention Alliance, serving as a Community Health Consultant for the Iowa Department of Public Health, and serving as a Business Research Analyst for a health care delivery organization.
Ms. Moody is well recognized as a leader in Public Health and Health Care Management and has received prestigious awards, including the Gift of Clear Air Champion from the Clean Air for Everyone Iowa Citizen Action Network, the Award for Excellence from the American Public Health Association Council of Affiliates, and the Iowa Public Health Heroes Award by the University of Iowa College of Public Health.
