Des Moines University – Interviewing and Visiting campus

Students who submit a competitive application to the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery may be invited to Des Moines University for an interview. Interviews are typically held on Fridays, September – May. Interview day begins at 8:30 a.m. and concludes by 2:30 p.m. (CST).  We believe visiting the Des Moines University campus is one of the most important parts of your discovery of podiatric medicine and we look forward to the opportunity to showcase our campus and city.

Des Moines University campus

From our classrooms to clinics, Des Moines University’s campus is impressive. Students begin their education in our Anatomy Labs, Simulation Labs, and Bako Pathology Clinical Skills Laboratory. As the education shifts from the classroom to the clinical setting, students see their first patients in the Foot Ankle and Clinic – the largest practice of podiatric physicians in the state of Iowa.

The DMU community is a welcoming place, and many students enhance their support system by joining one of more than 50 clubs and organizations available to students. There are clubs geared toward professional focus, specialty focus, religious groups, physical activities and more.
