  2. The project should be located in the greater Des Moines area
  3. The project should be facilitated by a nonprofit organization having 501(c)(3) status.

Ineligible projects include those that support a political party, include any element of religious proselytizing or provide a direct benefit to a for-profit entity, a labor union, a partisan political organization.

Request community services

Please review our policies and goals before contacting Community Relations.

If your project does not qualify for assistance through our employee volunteer program, DMU may still be able to help. We regularly communicate volunteer opportunities to staff, faculty, and students to help them connect with community organizations working to make a difference in the greater Des Moines area.
