By using osteopathic skills to treat young patients, our clinicians are able to maximize the health and wellbeing of all their patients, including children, who experience dramatic changes to their bodies, minds and spirits as they grow. Changes and patterns that develop in the early years can have long-lasting effects through life. Our physicians use osteopathic manual medicine (OMM), also known as osteopathic manipulative medicine, to assess and treat each child’s body so they can develop and maintain a diverse range of positive, lifelong growth.

OMM can be useful for the following conditions, among many others:

  • Infant feeding or nursing difficulties (e.g. problems with latch or swallowing)
  • Colic
  • Reflux
  • Constipation
  • Torticollis
  • Misshapen head (plagiocephaly)
  • Fluid in the middle ear (otitis media), whether with active infection or not
  • Viral infections
  • Asthma
  • Developmental delay
  • ADHD
  • Migraines and other headaches
  • Pain and some musculoskeletal issues
