Faculty Development: Finding Impact Data

This course is only open to DMU faculty. Scopus is an interdisciplinary citation database of peer‐reviewed literature, featuring smart tools to track, analyze and visualize research. Journal and author metrics are used to try to quantify the research impact of a publication or authors work. Referred to as the impact factor, these calculations attempt to provide context for the scientific importance, or relevance of a journal or of a researcher’s publication.
