Non-Degree Registration

Thank you for your interest in pursuing coursework at Des Moines University as a student in Non-Degree seeking status.  Now that you are approved to register for Non-Degree courses, please follow the instructions below to begin the process of enrolling.

1. Seat deposit

Please submit the non-refundable $250.00 deposit to secure your intent to register for a seat in a Non-Degree course promptly. Your deposit is used to open your DMU billing account and is credited toward  tuition of your first course upon registration.  Submission of the deposit will trigger all other actions necessary to begin your enrollment process.

You may pay your seat deposit through your DMU Admissions Account.

2. Access to DMU email, Pulse and D2L

Within several days of submission of the seat deposit, your accounts will be activated and login instructions emailed to you regarding your DMU email account and the Pulse and D2L systems. Pulse is the university’s intranet system which provides much of the necessary information for your enrollment in DMU coursework.  D2L is the learning management system used for all courses.

3. Registration for Non-Degree coursework

  • Fall 2019 Term  Registration - 7/15/2019 through 9/10/2019
  • Spring 2020 Term Registration - 11/11/2019 through 1/7/2020
  • Summer 2020 Term Registration - 3/23/2020 through 5/17/2020

4. Payment of Tuition

Please note - individuals registering for Non-Degree coursework are NOT ELIGIBLE FOR FEDERAL FINANCIAL AID.
The full tuition amount is due at the time of registration; there are no exceptions to this policy.
