To ease financial barriers to health care and safeguard the financial stability of students, the University requires that all full-time students in clinical programs have medical insurance coverage that provides comprehensive benefits.
While students are welcome to enroll in plans provided through their parents’ or spouse’s employer, they are encouraged to carefully review the University’s plan, which offers comprehensive benefits designed specifically to meet students’ health care needs.
New students receive information on the insurance plan in pre-orientation mailings and during orientation. Students may also view this information on the student portal once sign-on information is received.
