Children’s Garden
Dependent children of students and employees receive priority consideration for openings as they become available at the Children’s Garden Child Care Center. In the fall 2001, Children’s Garden entered into a partnership with Wesley Acres Retirement Community and Des Moines University. It is the second oldest non-profit child care program in Iowa.

Mercy Child Development Center
Des Moines University is excited to partner with Mercy Child Development Center to help meet the child care needs of our students.
Bright Horizons at Mercy Child Development Center is open year-round, Monday through Saturday, and offers a unique, flexible range of child care hours for children 6 weeks to 8 years of age. They also offer drop-in services and emergency child care when normal care arrangements fall through.
