Dual Degree

Application requirements

Applicants must provide the following materials:

  • Fill out the dual degree application
  • In the online application, you will be asked to attach a personal statement.
  • Upon completion of the online application, please submit the two letters of recommendation (one being from your DMU advisor and one from an additional faculty member) to Admissions

All application materials should be sent to the Admissions Office.

An application for admission become the property of Des Moines University upon receipt and will not be returned or released to the applicant either in original or photocopy form.

Personal statement

Applicants must prepare a one to three page personal statement describing why they are interested in a dual degree in anatomy and why they would like to attend Des Moines University.

Application fee

The application fee is waived for current DO and DPM students applying to the Dual MSA Degree. Contact the Admissions office for fee waiver information: MSAdmit@dmu.edu

Letters of recommendation

On the application, indicate names of two people (advisor and other faculty member) who will submit a letter of recommendation appraising your potential to succeed in the Des Moines University master’s degree program. Letter writers must complete and submit the letter of recommendation form along with the letter. One letter must be from your current Des Moines University advisor. Recommenders can return the form and letter to the applicant in an envelope signed across the seal. Letters must be on letterhead and come from professors who have had you in class.

Transcripts

You will not need to submit transcripts with your application.
