Global Health Reimbursements
Des Moines University will reimburse an overseas rotation at 2/3 the cost of your trip up to $2,000. This applies to any oversees rotation but is limited to one rotation per student per clinical year.

Airfare
You can go through our university travel Agent at Allied Travel. Her information is: Jackie Mosher, 270-7070, jackie@alliedtravel.com and have her charge the flight to account # 110-4120-52610
Or, you can book the flight yourself and then seek reimbursement. In that case you would submit a "DMU Request for Reimbursement" form to the Office of Global Health along with the ORIGINAL invoice attached. Dr. Shah would then approve the request and you would be reimbursed.
DMU will supply you with Travel and Evacuation Insurance from Worldwide Assistance Services, Inc. while you are away. A supply of these cards and stickers are kept in the Global Health Dept. and one will be sent to you after your rotation has been approved.
