Global Health Mission Information
Des Moines University has opportunities for students and faculty to travel to countries in need of basic health care to provide medical services.
The mission trips take place for one week in the summer so that all students wanting to participate may do so. These mission trips are not for credit and are open to all students at the university. In the summer of 2007, a group of 21 students and clinicians traveled to Belize. For the 2008 trip, the location will be El Salvador.
These trips require an application to be filled out and certain standards need to be met in order to be selected. Contact Chris Catrenich if you are interested in a Summer Medical Mission trip
