Lorraine Lanningham-Foster, Ph.D.

Dr. Lanningham-Foster’s research focus is the relationship between diet, physical activity and pediatric obesity. The overall goal of her research is to develop pediatric obesity intervention programs. She is an obesity prevention specialist with research interests focused on the relationships between physical activity, sedentarines
- Describe prevalence of obesity in children and adults in the United States of America.
- Explain the influence of environmental factors on obesity.
- Consider strategies for working parents to improve their own health behaviors and health behaviors of their children.
- Consider physical activity strategies for improving health behaviors during pregnancy.
