DESCRIPTION:Field Experiences in Public Health: Lead PoisoningPart of the DMU Clinic Regularly Scheduled Series.Target audienceAll DMU faculty\, staff\, and students are invited to attend.ObjectivesState two sources of lead in Iowa which cause lead poisoning.Summarize at least one policy/law/regulation that has decreased exposure to lead.Indicate recommended timing of lead testing for children including when it is required.  SpeakerPatricia Quinlisk\, M.D.\, MPHMedical Director\, State Epidemiologist\, Iowa Department of Public Health BiographyDr. Quinlisk has indicated she has no financial relationships to disclose relevant to the content of this CME activity.Continuing education creditAOA:  Des Moines University is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to present continuing medical education programs for physicians. Des Moines University designates this program for a maximum of 1.0 hour of AOA Category 2-A CME credit.IBON:  Des Moines University continuing education (provider #112) is approved by the Iowa Board of Nursing as an accredited provider.
