Don’t forget to RSVP soon for the great DMU Run-Day-Voo!
The fun begins at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 14, in front of the Academic Center. It’s only $20 (which includes a tee) if you register online or $30 at the door.
Not only will you be rubbing elbows with fellow students, staff & grads, it’s a great lil tour through our beautiful neighborhood. And it’s no cakewalk, the route is hilly and challenging so those of you fitness buffs will get a nice sweat. Those who choose to walk it will feel satisfied too!

Courtney Tompkins has been part of the DMU marketing team since Nov. 2005 and loves promoting a school she believes in so thoroughly. Proud daughter and patient of DMU alumni, Courtney knows, first-hand, that Des Moines University is doing a world of good.
A fan of all outdoor festivals, fruity drinks and nearly all edibles, she has a hard time narrowing down her list of favorite places to go and things to do but lists the Iowa State Fair as an all-time fave. She loves her 8-minute commute to DMU from Urbandale, a suburb of Des Moines. She and husband Tyler are owned by three large dogs, Tonka, Tucker and Tank.

The third annual Run-Day-Voo organized by DMU is a very special event to participate. It is special because it is a 5K run or walk whichever you feel comfortable. The thing that you gain is the experience of a beautiful tour around Des Moines.

Hello Courtney, I hope you had a successful run. For your next event, consider our silicone wrist bands to help promote it and give to participants. We recently created one for the Fit Elite Freak 5k in Wisconsin (http://www.fiteliteonline.com/freakfaq.htm). They loved them!
