October 6-12 is National Physician Assistant Week. Physician Assistants are a vital part of our health care system. Remember to thank them for what they do both this week and in the future.
As part of PA Week, DMU PA students will be offering blood pressure screening at Valley West Mall Saturday October 10, 12-4 p.m. Stop by to check your blood pressure and meet some of our students!

Andrea Cooley gets paid to post on Facebook and Twitter (among other things) to promote Des Moines University to prospective students. She is a Midwest girl at heart, but loves to travel around the country visiting friends and family. If Des Moines had mountains or an ocean she’d never leave.
Before joining the DMU marketing team, she was an editor for Country Home magazine. She’s still a little obsessed with magazines, so if you want to talk about decorating, remodeling or gardening projects she’s your go-to girl.

I am a PA and love to see anyone celebrating PA week. This is also a great blog.
Keep up the good work.
