My mouth is watering…

by

Today begins spring break here at DMU. Not only does this mean the campus is quiet but it also means the cafeteria is closed.

I love lunching with my DMU marketing co-workers and so we’re working on our list of places to grab lunch this week. Juice had a piece about Tumea & Sons restaurant last week and I’m definitely hoping Tumea’s is on our list for this week!

This is a true-blue taste of Italy that will leave you smiling. I love their house dressing and any of their pasta dishes. I also love that it’s still a family-run business and customers are valued.

Read the review, trek over to the south side and taste it, then wipe the saliva off your chin!

Courtney Tompkins has been part of the DMU marketing team since Nov. 2005 and loves promoting a school she believes in so thoroughly. Proud daughter and patient of DMU alumni, Courtney knows, first-hand, that Des Moines University is doing a world of good. A fan of all outdoor festivals, fruity drinks and nearly all edibles, she has a hard time narrowing down her list of favorite places to go and things to do but lists the Iowa State Fair as an all-time fave. She loves her 8-minute commute to DMU from Urbandale, a suburb of Des Moines. She and husband Tyler are owned by three large dogs, Tonka, Tucker and Tank.

For everyone from DMU who’s sticking around town on your break, we’d love if you hit up our site and added your own two cents about the restaurants you visit: http://desmoines.metromix.com/restaurants

    I think you’re obsessed with food. Not that it’s a bad thing… :)
