Loren D. Brown, D.O.’74

After 35 years in the practice of hematology/oncology, Loren Brown retired in late 2013. A lifelong resident of Des Moines, he relocated to Charlotte, NC, for family. Brown also was adjunct professor of medicine at DMU and taught portions of the hematology course throughout his career.

Albert L. Pizzica, D.O.’73

Pizzica recently retired from neonatology and is now the president and CEO of a medical management firm in Philadelphia, PA. He and his wife, Susan, reside in Wayne, PA.

John S. Sinnott, D.O.’68

Sinnott retired from his busy family medicine practice in Ida Grove, IA, in 2009, and opened a winery, Old Town Vineyard & Winery, with his wife, Lenee, in Ida Grove.

Patrick K. McClellan, D.O.’64

McClellan was elected to serve as president of the Macomb County Osteopathic Medical Association in 2013. He will be installed as president on February 23, 2013, in Clinton Township, MI. He is a retired family practice physician and resides in Richmond, MI, with his wife, Sandra.

Warren S. Silberman, D.O., M.P.H.’74

Silberman retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as the manager of the Aerospace Medical Certification Division. He formed an LLC, Aviation Certification Services, and plans on doing consulting. He is also the medical director of Harvey Watt and Company in Atlanta, GA, which provides disability insurance for pilots who have lost their medical certification certificate. He […]

Lamar C. Miller, D.O.’57

Miller was chief of staff at Warren County Hospital in Warren, OH, and an associate professor at Ohio University in Athens, OH, from 1976 to 1979, where he was named outstanding professor of the year in 1978. He served as chief of medicine at Pasco Medical Center in Dade City, FL, from 1980 to 1982 and as Salvation Army board president for two years. He has been a member of the NPR rotary club since 1979. He retired from family practice in 1998. He and his wife, Phyllis, reside in New Port Richey, FL.
