Houseman is completing his chief year in neurosurgery at the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Medical Center Cushing Neuroscience Institute in Manhasset, NY. He plans to begin a spine instructorship/fellowship with Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, this year that will continue into 2014.

Lokenvitz and Matt Lokenvitz were married November 2012. Matt is the high school business and technology teacher and head baseball coach for Hampton-Dumont Community High School in Hampton, IA, and Hannah is a family medicine physician assistant at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion, IA.

Ryan C. Romano, D.O.’07

In July 2012, Romano completed five years of active duty Naval service as an undersea and diving medical officer in Panama City, FL. He and his wife, Sonj, have relocated to Rochester, MN, where he will begin his pathology residency training at the Mayo Clinic.

Peter N. Bartels, D.O.’07

Bartels, a board-certified neurologist, joined Iowa Methodist Specialty Physicians, a group of six practicing neurologists in Des Moines. He completed a neurology residency at the University of Iowa in Iowa City and a fellowship in neurophysiology at the University of Illinois in Chicago.
