U.S. Air Force Major Compton graduated from the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base/Wright State University general surgery residency program in Dayton, OH. He will become a staff surgeon at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho.

Rufledt was named assistant program director for the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences physician assistant program. Since 2005, she has worked in the cardiac center at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, WI.

Perkunas was married on March 10, 2012, and has a private practice, Yoga Therapy for You, in Tucson, AZ, incorporating physical therapy and yoga. She teaches yoga and other classes in California, Mexico and Arizona.

In June 2013 Dow successfully completed and is designated with the clinical specialty of orthopedic manual therapist (COMT). She practices at Marian Joy Rehabilitation Centers in Oak Brook Terrace, IL.

Burke and her husband, Patrick, welcomed a new baby, Zachary Tyler, on Sept. 8, 2012. He joins big sisters Kassidy, 4, and Mackenzie, 2. Burke is in her second year of an anesthesiology residency at Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA.

Hardy was selected for the Iowa Physical Therapy Association’s highest award: the Olive Farr Distinguished Service Award in April 2012. Hardy is the first DMU physical therapy alumnus to receive this award. He and his wife, Kerry L. Hardy, D.P.T.’05, reside in Adel, IA.
