Mark K. Williams, D.P.M.’89, FACFAS

Dr. Williams was appointed to the Washington State Podiatric Medical Board by Governor Jay Inslee. His two-year term began in July 2014.  The board is responsible for addressing complaints regarding treatment by podiatrists within the state as well as for establishing continuing medical education and licensing guidelines for podiatry.

Jessica R. Johannesen Childe, D.O.’10, M.S.A.

Dr. Childe will graduate from the McLaren Greater Lansing orthopedic residency in June 2015 and will then begin a hand and upper extremity surgery fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. She and her husband, J.R., are expecting their first child in June 2015.

Grant R. Koster, M.S.P.T.’01, ATC, CSCS, FACHE

Mr. Koster was promoted to vice president of clinical operations for Athletico Physical Therapy (www.athletico.com). Blessy Varghese Peacedale, M.H.A.’14

Blessy Varghese Peacedale was named risk and compliance coordinator at the Marshalltown, IA, Medical and Surgical Center. Roger Senty, D.O.’58, FACOS

Roger Senty gave a lecture at DMU on Aug. 25 titled “The Post-war Years: the College of Osteopathic Medicine and the New Acceptance.” Senty was appointed chair of the surgery department of the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, now DMU, in 1967 and served as dean of the college from 1971 to 1973.

Matthew T. Connell, D.O.’10

Dr. Connell was appointed a gynecology faculty member at the National Institutes of Health. On July 1, 2015, he will begin a reproductive medicine fellowship at the Program for Reproductive and Adult Endocrinology at the NIH.

Troy J. Boffeli, D.P.M.’90, FACFAS

Dr. Boffeli had two research articles published in the November 2014 issue of the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He was co-author of “Modified Dwyer Osteotomy with Rotation and Reinsertion of Autograft Bone Wedge for Residual Heel Deformity Despite Previous Delayed Subtalar Joint Arthrodesis After Calcaneal Fracture.” He also was one of three authors […]
