Leah E. Hastings, D.O.’06

Hastings left the U.S. Army as a major in July 2013 after serving seven years’ active duty. She joined the Everett Clinic, a physician-owned, multispecialty clinic in Everett, WA, as a pediatrician.

Michael D. Harder, D.O.’05

Harder recently joined Mercy Medical Center’s urgent care department in Sioux City, IA, and is also a full-time family practice physician with Singing Hills Mercy Clinic in Sioux City.

Timothy B. Slama, D.O.’10

Slama has joined the Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont, MN, practicing family medicine. He completed a family medicine residency at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, IA.

Loan K. Bui-Thompson, D.O.’97

Bui-Thompson is a pediatrician with Valley Oak Pediatric Associates in Modesto, CA. She completed her pediatric residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and was chief resident in 2001-2002. She is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics and is fluent in Vietnamese.

Valerie L. Stratton, D.O.’94

Stratton finished a second residency in internal medicine at the University of Iowa in August 2013. In October, she opened a new internal medicine clinic in West Des Moines, IA, Mercy Westown Internal Medicine Clinic, and is now dual-board-certified in family practice and internal medicine.

Jaclyn K. Anderson, D.O.’03

Anderson (formerly Pingel) and her husband, Scott, welcomed a son, Barrett Chase, to their family on Aug. 14, 2013. Anderson works for AbbVie, a biopharmaceutical company in North Chicago, IL.
