I am triple board-certified in family medicine, geriatrics and hospice and palliative medicine. Currently, my main interest is in early detection of memory problems and supporting families and patients with different forms and at different stages of dementias.
Conditions I Treat:
I strongly believe in health prevention — specifically prevention of cognitive decline. I want to be part of a world without dementia!
How My Expertise Can Benefit Patients:
As we age, most of us worry about losing our brain capacity more than our physical capacity. My patients can benefit by incorporating lifestyle changes, a healthy diet, exercise for body and mind, stress management and socialization to maintain and expand brain wellness as we age.
How I Spend My Free Time:
I enjoy meeting people from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, gardening, listening to classical and jazz music and spending time with my family.
I’m the first American to have spent the night in a small Masai village in a remote part of Tanzania.
Health Advice to Live By:
Follow a plant-based diet, socialize, learn new things and keep moving.
