What Attracted Me to Medicine:
I enjoyed applied science, but also wanted a chance to work with people in a position that would always be needed. I view medicine as a vocation rather than a job.

Clinical Interest:
Performance Improvement, professionalism and patient safety. I also have worked much of my professional life with the uninsured and underinsured at Federally Qualified Health Centers.

Conditions I Treat:
Pediatric through geriatric care, including basic orthopedic care, prenatal care, emergency care and some women’s health.

How I Can Help Patients:
My special interest in performance improvement helps physicians be the best that they can be by looking at processes of care in a non-judgmental, non-punitive atmosphere so that all can teach and all learn about best practices.

How I Spend My Free Time:
Jogging (usually with my dog), bicycling, trying out new recipes and reading.

Fun Fact:
I am 100% Irish and have been to Ireland twice. Also, my husband and brother are both physicians.

Health Advice to Live By:
Moderation in all things. Stay connected to family and friends as sources of strength. Practice mindfulness.
