Poterucha will complete an internal medicine and pediatrics combined residency program in July 2013 at the University of Illinois at Chicago and will go on to begin a pediatric cardiology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He and his wife welcomed their fourth child, Tatiana Sophia, on November 3, 2011.
