Des Moines: Yankee Doodle Pops will be held tonight at 6:30 p.m. by the Des Moines Symphony at the Iowa State Capitol Grounds.

The Iowa Cubs take on Omaha at Principal Park tomorrow night, a fireworks extravaganza to follow.

Altoona: Prairie Meadows fireworks display starts at dusk tonight.

Indianola: Activities in the evening followed by fireworks at 10 p.m. from the Balloon Field on Wednesday, July 4.

Norwalk: Parade at 10 a.m., park festivities following parade, fireworks at dusk at McAninch Sports Park on Wednesday, July 4.

Urbandale: Festive activities throughout today and tomorrow including a carnival and one of the largest parades in central Iowa. Fireworks are at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4.

Waukee: The July 4th parade will begin at 2 p.m. Celebration will continue after the parade in Centennial Park with a variety of entertainment. A fabulous fireworks display will begin at 9:30 p.m. Live music will be provided from 6-9:30 p.m.

West Des Moines: Valley Junction hosts its annual Independence Day street party tonight starting at 6 p.m. with a concert by the Tony Valdez Large Band, a beer garden, food vendors following the West Des Moines Independence Day parade (starting at 6:30 p.m.).

Windsor Heights: Colby Park starts their fireworks display at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4.
