In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Des Moines University campus and clinic is closed today.
Did you know Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated in 1968, the observation became law in ’83, was first observed in ’86 and officially observed in all 50 states in 2000. (I learned that from Wikipedia.)
One of DMU’s graduates, and recipient of our Pioneer in Osteopathic Medicine award, Dr. William Anderson, actually worked alongside the man we honor today. Read more about some of Dr. Anderson’s work.
