Way to go, Juan!

September 16, 2009 —

The local Juice magazine has a nice profile today on Juan Cadenillas. Juan is a 2009 DMU M.P.H. graduate. He’s doing great things for our county’s public health department and he’s really weaving himself into the Des Moines community as a Latino role model, one of his goals.

I’ve gotten to know him a bit on Twitter and can tell you he is doing a great job promoting health causes and cool stuff in Des Moines. Way to go, Juan. You’re making DMU proud!

Awhile back, Juan was actually in a video about the DMU Glanton scholarship. See below:

As this year’s Glanton Scholarship fundraising dinner approaches, it’s a good reminder that DMU is working to help even more minority health profession students.

Courtney Tompkins has been part of the DMU marketing team since Nov. 2005 and loves promoting a school she believes in so thoroughly. Proud daughter and patient of DMU alumni, Courtney knows, first-hand, that Des Moines University is doing a world of good. A fan of all outdoor festivals, fruity drinks and nearly all edibles, she has a hard time narrowing down her list of favorite places to go and things to do but lists the Iowa State Fair as an all-time fave. She loves her 8-minute commute to DMU from Urbandale, a suburb of Des Moines. She and husband Tyler are owned by three large dogs, Tonka, Tucker and Tank.
