Labor Day weekend plans?

Just a reminder: this weekend is Labor Day. DMU will be closed on Monday. I apologize if you go through withdrawals. I understand your pain. Ha ha.

Not to worry though, there’s plenty to keep you entertained, regardless of your interests! There’s a blues fest at Living History Farms Saturday & Sunday. This weekend kicks off the first of 3 weekends for the Des Moines Renaissance Faire. Saturday night is a local MMA show. Or you could make it your goal to taste most of these “best in Des Moines” foods.

I’ll be out on a boat at Saylorville/Big Creek area. There’s plenty to do, everything from renting a boat to renting a shelter or just enjoying the free disc golf course or volleyball area, walking/biking trails and playground!

There are literally HUNDREDS of options for fun this weekend. Since we’re gettin a jump-start on it (this being only Wednesday…), please leave a comment & share your idea for fun this weekend!
