(Des Moines, IA) – You are invited to join Des Moines University (DMU) students, faculty, alumni and staff for a 5k through the beautiful south of Grand neighborhood around DMU.
The August 15 race, called DMU Run-Day-Voo, will begin at 7:30 a.m. in the circle drive in front of the Des Moines University Academic Center (north entrance), 3440 Grand Avenue. This is the second year of the annual run. Awards will be given for overall winners.
Participants can run or walk. Register at www.dmu.edu/RSVP/DMU5k for only $15, or, beginning at 7 a.m. the day of the race, register for $20. Registration includes the cost of a race t-shirt. Race packets can be picked up on Thursday, August 13, 4-6 p.m. or Friday, August 14, 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Student Education Center, 3300 Grand Ave., or the day of the event, 7-7:20 a.m. at the start line.
The DMU Osteopathic Finish Line student group will provide supervised osteopathic manipulation treatments to race participants and supporters.
