Any advice for prospective students?
Education is something that can never be taken from you, only used to better yourself as a person, improve you in your profession, and positively affect the lives of all those you touch.
Extracurricular activities:
I enjoy golf, either watching, playing or attempting to play. I recently have sunken my teeth into tennis and am enjoying learning a new sport. And, I love spending my time with a host of wonderful friends enjoying where I live. It’s not just anywhere where you get 360 degrees of mountains, beautiful blue skies nearly every day and during the winter months it can still be in the 80s.
Why DMU?
I chose DMU for several reasons, a few of them being: my strong IA/Midwest roots, the flexibility of DMU’s primarily online program, and DMU’s notoriety for being a premier institution with a strong focus on manual therapy techniques.
Career objectives:
I plan to continue in my management endeavors with eventually bringing Relief Physical Therapy to reality. Relief Physical Therapy will be a two-fold business with a component of bringing in-home therapy services to clients wanting therapy to come to them and also a staffing agency to assist primarily with staffing shortages in the SNF/LTC environment. Both components will be aimed at relieving those in need to functional freedom!
