Board Exams
There are two portions of the National Board Examinations that all podiatric medical students must pass before they can become licensed practitioners.
Part I is taken after the 2nd year of podiatric medical school, and covers the basic sciences. Part II is taken near the end of the 4th year and covers the clinical application of podiatry. CPMS is proud of the outstanding success that students have historically achieved on both portions of the board exam.
Part I covers the following basic science courses:

- Neuroanatomy
- Biochemistry
- Physiology
- Pathology
- Microbiology

- Pharmacology
Part II covers the following clinical material:
- General Medicine:

- Cardiovascular Disease
- Rheumatology
- Endocrinology
- Hematology
- Immunology
- Emergency Medicine
- Dermatology
- Radiology
- Orthopedics and Biomechanics
- Podiatric Surgery
- Anesthesiology
- Hospital Protocol
- Community Health
Both components of the exam are delivered as "Mastery Tests." Each question is in the format of a four-option multiple choice.
