Presidential Involvement
Governor Branstad
Governor Terry E. Branstad was inaugurated as the 14th President of Des Moines University Saturday, May 29, 2004.
Governor Branstad is committed to ensuring that DMU is an active member of the community in which students and employees live. He has taken the lead by being actively involved in University and community events, such as participating in campus tours, reading to grade school children at Perkins Elementary, visiting alumni in various cities, greeting people at the Iowa State Fair and more.
