September 23, 2008This is our introductory and informational first meeting. On this night we will also have an exciting chance to interact with a 'patient' as if you're the doctor in our Standardized Performance Assessment Lab. With the demonstration, we will have a short game and take a survey to find out what you, the participant, are interested in learning about and doing during the course of the program. October 14, 2008At our second meeting we will need you to submit your completed enrollment packet, with $20 registration fee. We will also discuss our fundraiser for the year, the Boy Scout Popcorn Sale, as well as the program that the sale will benefit: Amanda the Panda. After this, we will see a suturing demonstration and student will get a shot at trying it too! October 28, 2008FIELD TRIP! Any student wishing to participate, must have their parental consent form completed and submitted by this date to attend the field trip. We will meet on campus at our regular location and from there we will be traveling to Mercy Medical Center for a tour that may include one or more of the following areas: the emergency room, the Mercy school of EMS, an ambulance, and Mercy AirLife rescue helicopter. November 14, 2008Don Matz, Ph.D., will present a program for us in the Anatomy Lab, allowing you to actually touch a heart, lungs or brain! December 9, 2008FIELD TRIP!
