Limb Preservation and Foot Ankle Deformity Correction Center
Dr. Pehde treating a patient

Limb preservation isn't just about washing out the wound and applying a clean dressing and bandage. It's getting to the bottom of why ulceration is present in the first place.

Call 515-271-1731 to schedule an appointment. Hours Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Our Goal

We're dedicated to providing our patients with functional and stable limbs. Patients with wounds that do not heal or who have foot conditions that prevent an active lifestyle can suffer significant emotional and physical distress. Limb preservation and correction are possible for many patients because we use the latest treatments and tools coupled with advances in surgery and wound care.

What is the Limb Preservation and Foot/Ankle Deformity Correction Center?

The center brings together foot and ankle surgeons with the training, skills, and experience to address foot and ankle conditions that require specialized care. If you or a family member suffers from serious foot or ankle conditions, we offer comprehensive medical and surgical services focused on your specific need.

What makes you different?

The Limb Preservation and Foot/Ankle Deformity Correction Center treats patients who have problem wounds and deformities of the foot and ankle that require more than basic foot care. Our physicians treat simple wounds to more challenging cases that may require complex surgical reconstruction.

Why not just a wound care center?

The critical difference between a wound care center and the Limb Preservation and Foot/Ankle Deformity Center is our comprehensive approach, which starts with a thorough patient evaluation. Our goal is not just to manage wounds, but also to prevent complications.

Do I need a referral?

No, you do not need a physician's referral to receive care from our physicians. Many patients, however, receive referrals to us from their family doctors or primary care doctors. We maintain ongoing communication with patients' primary care doctors to ensure you receive the best possible outcome and uninterrupted care.
