How to apply to the doctor of physical therapy program

The doctor of physical therapy program follows a rolling admission policy. Applications for the class that begins August 2011 are available beginning July 1, 2010 through the Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service (PTCAS). Students are interviewed and accepted into the program from October through March. Classes start in August. The application deadline is January 15. Applications must be submitted to PTCAS by that date.

Application process

Candidates are informed of an admission decision within two weeks following the interview.

If you are an international student, please view our international student information. Applicants who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the United States are required to complete the supplemental application for international students (SAIS).

Please note: First-time entering students may apply to only one Des Moines University clinical program at a time (includes D.O., D.P.M., PA and D.P.T.). Multiple applications will not be accepted or processed.
