Student Profile
Students in the Master of Healthcare Administration Program typically fit one of four profiles:
- Health Services Provider - These are individuals currently employed and providing services through the health care system.
- Executives and managers - The MHA degree is the preferred advanced degree for the health care setting because of its direct application to the health care industry. Physicians as well as non-medical managers earn the MHA degree.
- Career Changers - Some students pursue the MHA degree to build a new career pathway in healthcare administration.
- Recent College Graduates - The MHA degree offers significant opportunities for students just out of undergraduate school. Recent college graduates willing to relocate are especially well positioned to take advantage of career opportunities.
Diversity is a common word MHA students use to describe the MHA student body. You will find a wide variety of people who share your interest in health care.
